Industry Ownership Day hits right note

06 October 2019

After enjoying their visit to the ROA's Industry Ownership Day and Regional Day at Nottingham on Wednesday, 2 October, Ian Parry and Ann Selsby took to the Racing Post to show their appreciation:

Enjoying benefits of the ROA at Nottingham

After making our first venture into ownership with Tequila Blaze – a promising mare in training with Fergal O’Brien – we decided to take the plunge and join the Racehorse Owners Association.

We had no idea what benefit we would gain by doing so and enrolled to attend a free regional meeting and raceday at Nottingham.

What a day. Superb company, excellent speakers, a lovely lunch, and a day all pulled together by the excellent Mick Fitzgerald, who had time for everyone and is such an interesting and patient guy.

The day was topped off by our invitation to judge the best turned out award in the last – icing on the cake.

Owners should genuinely get involved in the ROA, it is there for their benefit, it is a way to involve yourself in the industry challenges, and it’s also bloody good fun.
