Which course gives the best owner experience?
- ROA and RCA join forces to invite racehorse owners to share their views on which racecourse delivers the best ownership experience.
- 14th annual Showcase to take place on Thursday 13th November at York Racecourse.
- Partnered by Great British Racing, Racing Together, Racing Foundation and Future Ticketing.
The Racecourse Association (RCA) is delighted to once again be asking two of the most important groups in British racing to have their say in deciding the winners at the 2025 RCA Showcase Awards. Working with the Racing Post and Racehorse Owners Association (ROA), the RCA is inviting racegoers and racehorse owners to celebrate the racecourses they think provide the best experience.
The Racing Post Readers’ Award calls upon Racing Post readers to vote for their favourite racecourse based on customer service, value for money and overall raceday experience. Readers that let us know what they think by voting will be in with the chance to win a VIP raceday at their favourite racecourse and a Racing Post + Ultimate subscription.
The Owners’ Racecourse of the Year award, run in partnership with the ROA, asks ROA members and racehorse owners to vote for their racecourse of the year based on the raceday experience with a runner, raceday experience without a runner and the overall racing experience. Within these factors owners are asked to consider everything from the racecourse communications and welcome, to prize money and facilities for participants.
For both awards voters are asked to score factors out of 10, and the racecourse with the highest average scores (subject to a minimum number of votes) will win. Voting for both awards is open now and closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 7th September. The winning racecourses will be crowned at the 14th annual Showcase taking place at York Racecourse on Thursday 13th November.
Mark Renshaw, Chief Executive Officer at Spotlight Sporting Group said: “Racing Post is proud to sponsor the RCA Showcase Awards, a key celebration in the racing industry’s calendar. These awards shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes of horseracing and the exceptional service they deliver. The Racing Post Readers’ Award is the only award decided by the public, giving racegoers the chance to recognise a racecourse that has truly stood out for its customer service over the past year. We’d love you to get involved, your vote means a lot to the people behind the scenes. Plus, by voting you could win a VIP raceday experience and a Racing Post+ Ultimate subscription.”
Louise Norman, Chief Executive of the ROA, said: "A great racecourse experience is at the heart of ownership, as it’s one way the sport recognises and rewards owners. The Owners’ Racecourse of the Year Award gives owners the chance to celebrate the courses that consistently go the extra mile, whether through their welcome, owner facilities, or the quality of racing. We encourage all owners to have their say by voting and highlight the racecourses and teams that truly deliver for them."
