Artist Dean Douglas to create live artwork at ROA Horseracing Awards in support of Racing Welfare

We are delighted to announce that acclaimed equine artist Dean Douglas will join us at this year’s ROA Horseracing Awards, where he will create a unique live painting during the ceremony.

Douglas, known for his ability to capture the power, movement and character of the thoroughbred, will produce a bespoke piece inspired by the occasion and the horses being celebrated. Once complete, the artwork will be auctioned on the night in aid of Racing Welfare, raising vital funds to support racing’s workforce.

In addition, Racing Welfare will run a charity raffle, offering guests the chance to win a stunning Boodles necklace. All proceeds will again support the charity’s essential services for people working across the sport.

These activities add a vibrant creative and philanthropic dimension to the awards, reinforcing our commitment not only to recognising excellence across British racing and ownership, but also to giving back to the individuals who help sustain it.
