York Racecourse – World Pool Races On Saturday 26 July

On Saturday 26 July at York, both the Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes (10f, 3yo+) and Sky Bet Dash (6f, 0-105, 3yo+) have been recently added to the World Pool roster.  As a result the course has boosted prize funds to £150,000 and £100,000 respectively while keeping entry fees the same as previously.  This represents a £40,000 increase for these two races as part of a £64,000 uplift across the two race days on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th July.  

As you know, field sizes for these two flagship races are critical in driving World Pool revenues.  At York, we have committed that 100% of our World Pool revenues since 2021 have been reinvested into our race programme. The course would be very appreciative if you would consider entering and running any suitable horses you may own in these two World Pool races on Saturday 26 July.  The Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes, in particular, can be vulnerable to a smaller field size which will decimate the returns from World Pool to British racing.
