@ChelmsfordCRC

We are delighted to welcome Owners to Chelmsford City Racecourse (CCR) and trust that all our facilities meet our guests’ expectations. The racecourse sets out to be flexible and accommodating to all Owners’ requests and we will do our utmost to provide true Essex hospitality to ensure a memorable day.

We are also fully committed to prize-money at CCR and in recent years have made Executive contributions which are easily the highest average per fixture of all the All-Weather venues, and ranks third of all those flat tracks which do not stage Group 1 races. The racing surface is now in its seventh year of use since installation and has been further enhanced with £600,000 of investment since 2015.

News

You will be aware that following the Government announcement of a further national lockdown, we are unfortunately unable to welcome Owners to our racing fixtures at the present time.

Until further notice racing will continue Behind Closed Doors with only essential staff on site to enable to the meeting to go ahead.

We are disappointed that we cannot now offer you any raceday experience as we fully understand this a key element of enjoying racehorse ownership. Our arrangements for Owners have been very well received since we started racing again back in June after the initial lockdown, and we hope that we can get back to delivering that service to you in the second half of February. Further general information on the latest Covid-19 arrangements on racecourses is available on the ROA website and RCA website.

We will still be providing our usual package for winning owners, including a digital memento and framed photograph and will arrange for these to be sent back with your trainer (or representative) on the day.

Should you wish to order any photos from the day, you can contact our course photographer Megan Ridgewell at meganrosephoto@gmail.com.

Thank you once again for your continued support during these difficult times. Fingers crossed your horse runs well and it will be our pleasure to welcome you back to CCR in the future.
