News

Under the new COVID guidelines and restrictions – we can only provide 4 badges per horse for the fixture on 20th September and no extras are available to purchase.

The names and e-mail addresses of all attending owners must be provided through the PASS System in advance and all attending owners MUST bring ID and must have completed the online COVID Certification provided by the BHA - https://racing2learn.com/ (a log-in must be created to do the module) and you need to complete the Covid-19 Information for Participants of the Racing Industry Module and the attached user guide (R2LGuide) takes you through the process. If you are struggling, there is a helpline on 0207 152 0021 (Weekdays 9am – 5pm; Weekends 9am – 12 noon)

Please ensure that all of your contact details are provided through the PASS System before 4pm the day before racing.

Please note that on the raceday itself – everyone will be temperature checked upon arrival and temperatures must be below 37.8 degrees for access to be granted. (If it is above 37.8 degrees twice then access will be denied).

Please be advised that due to the restrictions some of the racecourse layout has changed and so the owners car park has moved. It is now in the amber zone which you will be directed to on the day, but is where the public normally park and towards the train station.

Owners on course will still have access to the owners and trainers suite, which will be separated from raceday workers (trainers, stable staff, jockeys, officials, media etc.), who have undergone a more rigorous health screening process. For infection control purposes, no movement will be permitted between the two areas of the racecourse.

You will still be able to view your horse in the parade ring but you cannot enter the parade ring.

In trying to make your experience as normal and pleasant as possible, we are still going to provide you a plated meal on the day, as well as complimentary tea, coffee and cake. We won’t have the usual racecards available but will leave some printed versions in the Owners Room, where a reduced seating arrangement applies based on the current Government Guidelines. Please do not sit in groups of more than 6 or we will have to ask you to move apart. The bar will be open as normal, but with a socially distanced queuing system.

We realise the above is a long process to get to view your own horse, but we are following the guidance and following this allows us to get you back on course which we hope you will enjoy as much as us.

Please do e-mail us on racing@plumptonracecourse.co.uk or call 01273 890383 if you are unsure.
