George and Candida Baker started training from Far Westfield Farm in Warwickshire in 2008 with a couple of horses.

Music Box Express set the ball rolling when storming home at Wolverhampton in March 2008, and since that day the team have amassed close to 600 winners both in the UK and around the world.

Belgian Bill, the winner of the Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot in 2013, was a globetrotting star for the team. He won prestigious Group races in Istanbul and Dubai, and ran with credit in The Arlington Million in Chicago. Another highlight was the victory of Feel Glorious as an unconsidered 125/1 shot in 2018, and in 2024 Get It put in a scintillating front running performance to land the iconic Stewards Cup, and landed the Wokingham in fine style at Royal Ascot this year.

The team have produced winners in France, Germany, Belgium, the UAE and Turkey. And Wargrave won Switzerland’s prestigious Grosser Preis Von St Moritz on the frozen lake in 2020.

Having trained at two of the most famous racing establishments in Whitsbury and then Manton, George Baker Racing recently moved to the historic Downs House at Epsom, situated just a furlong from the start of the Epsom Derby.

The yard has undergone a magnificent and dramatic transformation in the past decade and is now a state-of-the-art feature of historic Epsom.
