Updated list of fixtures with pre-race examinations

Please see below an updated list of the Flat and Jump fixtures at which all-card trot ups and pre-race examinations are expected to take place in the coming months. This now includes a provisional schedule up to the end of June 2024.

As ever, we are grateful to trainers and teams for your ongoing cooperation, especially where trainers have contacted the BHA proactively and in advance of raceday to discuss a horse that may be described as a “poor mover” or having an “asymmetrical gait”.

The sooner we know about these horses the better. Early notification allows us to work with you and your veterinary surgeons to discuss the individual circumstances and consider any additional information to support the horse’s suitability to race.
