Donald McCain - Wednesday 25 November

Based at Bankhouse Stables on the Cholmondeley Castle Estate in Cheshire, Donald took over the training licence from his father, the legendary Ginger McCain, in 2006. Since then, he has established himself as the North's leading jump trainer, saddling well over 1,000 winners and enjoying winners at the highest level.

Among his many achievements, Donald famously emulated his father by winning the 2011 Grand National with Ballabriggs, while his stable has also enjoyed victories at the Cheltenham Festival.

Donald has built a thriving dual-purpose operation and has also enjoyed a Northumberland Plate win with the popular Overturn.

During the visit we will watch the horses work and find out more about the operation and their hopes for the upcoming season.
