Rebecca Menzies yard visit

Rebecca Menzies has established herself as one of Britain’s most ambitious dual-purpose trainers and we are delighted partner with Venatour – Racing Around The World for a visit to her yard.

In 2013, aged just 24 and with no family background in racing, Rebecca took out a licence, becoming Britain’s youngest trainer at the time. After initially setting up in North Yorkshire, she moved to Howe Hills Stables in County Durham in 2016, where she has developed a successful yard with an expanding team of Flat and National Hunt horses.

Rebecca has now saddled hundreds of winners across both codes, including notable Listed successes with Stormy Girl, Fonzerelli and Return Ticket.

This year, Adonius has kept Rebecca in the headlines with his fine juvenile season.

In the afternoon, visitors are welcome to join us at nearby Sedgefield for a Shared Ownership Day, where racegoers can learn more about syndicates and shared ownership experiences. The course is just seven miles from the yard, and the fixture is on the Racecourse Badge Scheme for Owners.
