Following the announcement of a full lockdown until at least the end of January, the Scottish Government has confirmed that racing can continue behind closed doors. Only those essential to staging fixtures may attend and must continue to follow the protocols already in place. No owners will be permitted to attend a fixture until further notice.
Under tier 4 restrictions, Kelso has an allocation of four badges per runner.
Additional badges can be applied for – contact the course directly for this. Any regional restrictions, the number of other owners attending on the day, and the “rule of six” will be factors influencing if your request can be accommodated.
Owners who live in an area currently under regional or local restrictions are reminded to follow the Government advice in that area.
Please also check your emails from PASS and the racecourse website for further updates on badge allocation and specific attendance protocols.
The most recent Scottish Government advice can be found here: https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-events-sector-guidance/#definitions
Owners are asked to phone (01573 221 221) or e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) the racecourse office directly with their badge requests. The number of badges that can be allocated will be informed by the regional guidance at the time.
Badges will be allocated to individuals in the form of bar-coded tickets so that they can subsequently scan them into and out of the racecourse enclosure.
Owners contact details will be held on the ticketing system for a minimum of three weeks in order to comply with track and trace protocols.
