Tickets on sale for the 43rd ROA Horseracing Awards
The Racehorse Owners Association (ROA) is delighted to announce that tickets are on sale for its 43rd Horseracing Awards, one of the most prestigious nights celebrating the best of British racing. Hosted by ITV Racing’s Rishi Persad and Sky Sports Racing’s Hayley Moore, the glittering black-tie event will take place on Thursday, 4th December 2025 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London and celebrate the outstanding owners and their horses of the 2024/25 Jumps and Flat seasons.
Eighteen awards, will be presented on the night including the prestigious ROA Horse of the Year and Owner of the Year award, honouring the achievements on the racecourse by the horses and their owners. Horses nominated across each category will be unveiled on Monday 3 November, with ROA members invited to cast their votes. Voting will close on Friday 14 November, ahead of the winners being revealed at the awards ceremony.
New for 2025 – Syndicate and Racing Club AwardsThe ROA has introduced two new categories recognising the increasing role played by syndicates and racing clubs in racehorse ownership.
-
Small Syndicate / Racing Club of the Year - for syndicates or clubs with nine or fewer horses in training
-
Large Syndicate / Racing Club of the Year - for syndicates or clubs with ten or more horses in training
With these additions the awards now celebrate the full breadth of modern ownership, from sole owners and partnerships to syndicates and racing clubs, reflecting the expanding ways people are experiencing the thrill of racehorse ownership.
Louise Norman, ROA Chief Executive said:
“The ROA Horseracing Awards is a highlight of the year. The awards are a chance for us to celebrate our owners and their achievements, together with the brilliance, drama and passion that makes British racing so special. We are especially pleased to introduce our new syndicate categories alongside our existing awards in recognition and celebration of all owners involved in British Racing today. The ROA Awards provides an amazing platform to celebrate our key audiences and focus on owners and their horses given how much they contribute to British Racing. We look forward to welcoming everyone to what promises to be another unforgettable evening.”
Dan Abraham, Chair of the Racehorse Syndicates Association, said:
“It’s fantastic to see syndicates and racing clubs formally recognised within the ROA Horseracing Awards. These two new categories reflect the reality of modern ownership, one that’s inclusive, social and accessible to everyone. The awards now offer every type of owner a place to be celebrated for their contribution to the sport along with their success on the racecourse".
Amedeo Dal Pos, 2024 winner of the EBF special achievement award and Head Lad to Dylan Cunha said:
“It was a real honour to win the special achievement award last year, for me and for everyone at Dylan Cunha’s who put in the hard work every day. Owning Prague is something very special; he’s a star. These awards are great because they show how everyone’s contribution counts across all different ownership types”.
