Overview

THIS EVENT HAS NOW SOLD OUT

One of the highlights of the ROA’s social calendar is now available for booking. Always a sell-out, this year’s Cheveley Park and Banstead Manor Studs visit, with lunch, will take place on Tuesday 3rd September. The day starts at one of the most renowned studs in the world – Cheveley Park, where ROA members will be treated to a fantastic, up-close look at the inner workings of the oldest stud farm in Newmarket. Home to nine stallions, including the phenomenal Pivotal, the sire of over 150 individual Stakes winners, and 150 broodmares, this is always a special start to the day.

From there, members will be taken to the British Racing School for a talk about the work the centre does, before settling down to a two-course lunch and a glass of wine.

Following lunch will be a visit to the beautiful Banstead Manor Stud, home of course to the wonderful Frankel, whose temperament has won over every ROA visitor to the stud. The other stallions to parade will include Champion Miler Kingman, who is making a fantastic start at stud with a Classic winner in his first crop and new boy on the roster, Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Expert Eye.

This trip is sure to be a sell-out, so members are limited to bringing one guest each, and priority will be given to members who did not attend last year’s visit.
