Overview

The ROA are delighted to offer ROA and Racegoers Club members the opportunity to visit Stradivarius at the National Stud as part of a private tour of the stud.

It is a chance to learn about the history and role of the world-famous 500-acre stud farm in Newmarket, who also provide unrivalled training to young people interested in working within the breeding industry. The tour includes the chance to see the stallions and meet some of the mares and foals, as well as their retired racehorses, which include 2014 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Lord Windermere.

The cost for members is £35, and for their guests is £40.

Members will meet at 9.45am ready for the tour to commence at 10am. The morning will end with a light lunch at the Wavertree Coffee Shop.

The day ties in with racing at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile course in the afternoon, with the first day of the Cambridgeshire Meeting, featuring the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes (first race 1.15pm).

Racecourse admission is not included, but the fixture is part of the Racecourse Badge Scheme for Owners for ROA Members and there is a £5 concession available for Racegoers Club members.

Places on the tour are limited to 26 guests and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
