By road: Exeter Racecourse is situated just 5 miles on from the end of the M5 southbound, along the A38 (Exeter to Plymouth). The racecourse is situated at the top of Haldon Hill and is clearly signposted from all directions. Once you have arrived, you will find ample free parking just a short walk from the main entrance. (Use EX6 7XS as the sat nav friendly postcode with which to find us.)
By Train:There is a direct train link between London Paddington and Exeter St. David’s (journey time approx. 2 hours). Depending on your time of travel, a taxi up to the racecourse will take about 25 minutes – to receive an exclusive discount on a taxi fare to or from the Racecourse, book Apple Taxis on (01392) 666666 and quote "EX1". There is an Apple taxi rank in the members car park towards the end of each raceday for those wishing to get a taxi back from the course.
By Bus: There is a free raceday bus service to Exeter Racecourse from Exeter St. Davids Rail Station and Exeter City Bus Station. Please note that the service is available on a strictly first-come, first-serve basis.
By Air: Exeter International Airport is located an easy 15 minute drive from the racecourse, just off the A30. With prior permission, helicopters can land on the course on racedays – please call Jack Parkinson, our Clerk of the Course, for further information.
Exeter currently has an allocation of four badges per runner.
Additional badges can be applied for – contact the course directly for this. Any regional restrictions, the number of other owners attending on the day, and the “rule of six” will be factors influencing if your request can be accommodated.
Owners who live in an area currently under regional or local restrictions are reminded to follow the Government advice in that area.
