High Gosforth Park,
We appreciate that owning and training a racehorse is not only a sport but also a passion. As well as improving the raceday experience we are continually making capital investments to ensure that our track surfaces are in as good a condition as possible. We will also do what we can to look after your horse while they are racing at our racecourses and aim to provide excellent veterinary care while they are with us.

Ideally located in the North East of England. Follow brown and white tourist board signs bearing a horse and rider from the A1, A19 and main approach roads to Newcastle. A taxi from Newcastle City Centre/Newcastle Central Station will cost approximately £10. For traffic updates in the nearby area, please click here.
Numbers 43 and 44 leave from Haymarket Bus Station in Newcastle City Centre every few minutes and arrive at a stop just outside the racecourse road entrance. There is a free shuttle bus service on Friday and weekend racedays that runs from Four Lane Ends & Regent Centre Metro Stations to the racecourse, beginning an hour and a half before racing running till the first race time, and then returns from the racecourse to the same metro stations directly after racing.
Newcastle Central Station is the closest main line station, and it's approximately 15 minutes and £10 to the racecourse by taxi. Regent Centre and Four Lane Ends Metro Stations are situated 2 miles from the racecourse and a shuttle bus operates on Friday and weekend racedays (more info above).
Newcastle International Airport is situated 6 miles from the racecourse, and is easily accessible. Helicopters can land at the racecourse, please contact directly for details.
IMPORTANT PUBLIC TRANSPORT NOTIFICATION
Due to lack of demand, for all Monday to Thursday racedays from Tuesday 2 January 2018 there will be no shuttle bus service to or from the racecourse. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. The racecourse free shuttle bus service will continue as usual to and from Four Lane Ends & Regent Centre Metro Stations on Friday and weekend racedays.
Due to local restrictions in Newcastle and across the North East, local tracks will only be allowed to accommodate a maximum of four badges per runner at upcoming meetings. In addition, Owners in attendance will only be able to sit with members of their own household whilst indoors.
Unfortunately there is little flexibility at this time, but these restrictions are in line with all hospitality and leisure venues in the area, and will be actively monitored by the local authority.
Full details will be included in the emails from PASS that are sent to Owners with declared runners at either racecourse, along with information about the overall experience, including parking, timing and catering.
