ROA Board Member appointment

ROA Board Member Mrs Patricia Pugh, known professionally as Dr Patricia Hardy, has been appointed as Packard Curator for The Fred Packard Museum & Galleries of British Sporting Art, at the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art in Palace House, Newmarket.

Dr Hardy will be a key member of the team, reporting to Director Chris Garibaldi and her primary focus will be on the Art and Academia of the Palace House Galleries and the collections of the BSAT.

She has extensive experience and most recently, was the Curator, Paintings, Prints & Drawings at the Museum of London, where she had carried out this role since 2010. Prior to this Patricia was a Curator at the National Museums Liverpool and the National Portrait Gallery. Dr Hardy’s PhD was achieved at the Courtauld Institute, University of London (‘Victorian Images of Emigration’).

She is the owner of star chaser Altior, who has won 11 races in a row, including the Arkle Challenge Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival this year.
