Hear Rachel Hood on Radio 4

Former ROA President Rachel Hood was a guest of presenter Evan Davis on BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Bottom Line’ business programme which discussed the finances of horseracing.

She appeared in her capacity as a Director of the Horsemen’s Group along with Simon Bazalgette, group chief executive of the Jockey Club, and Ciaran O’Brien, communications director of William Hill.

Rachel took the bookmakers to task for not contributing sufficiently to the racing industry, while racehorse owners – especially at the lower end of the sport – received a paltry return on their investment.
